This past weekend a few mommies and our littles visited SPARK by Brooklyn Children’s Museum.
SPARK is an affiliate of the Brooklyn Children’s Museum. It is an art and play space designed for children ages six months to six years old; Located in the Dumbo area of Brooklyn. SPARK is most popular for their Brooklyn Block Lab exhibit, also their art and design workshops, music classes, etc. feel free to check out their website here.
I’m so happy that we were able to make this our most recent visit. I really enjoy all of our Mommy Meet ups, however this one in particular is definitely on the top of my list. First of all it has one of the most amazing views in Brooklyn. Their studio is facing the beautiful scenery of the East River, and Manhattan bridge, It’s just as beautiful as it sounds.
Another thing I love is how intimate the space is. Usually at our meet ups we’re in large venues, or spaces that doesn’t allow us to all be together at once, conversing, and the kids playing in our eyesight. I love how SPARK it set up, it gives you a birds eye view, no matter where you are you can see where your child is.
I also love all the different activities that were available; tons of art supplies, building blocks, miscellaneous stuff, such as a drum, train tracks, etc. Also, the Brooklyn Block Lab exhibit; I love it, and I believe the kids loved it even more. It was amazing to see them all playing together (without fighting), all sharing putting great ideas from their imagination together to create all kinds of things, such as a restaurant (they even assigned job titles for everyone, chef, sous chef, waiter, bus girl etc), they also built a house for them all to live in. I mean come on how cute is that. Okay, this post is getting longer than expected but we really all enjoyed ourselves, and I have to bring Alani back very soon.
If you haven’t yet, be sure to visit SPARK by Brooklyn Children’s Museum, I promise it won’t disappoint.
Also, I want to send a special Thank You to the lovely Brooklyn Children’s Museum for hosting our Meet up!

I grew up in the Brooklyn Children’s Museum so I am thrilled to know they have expanded now to SPARK. I think the BCM was a part of about half of my childhood memories and I can only hope that SPARK will be a huge part of my Lala’s upbringing.. art is good, informative, mind opening and necessary to LIFE.
Keep going Demi! <3 this!
