A song dedicated to Alani, from her daddy.

When I first heard this song we were still pregnant, and I cried tears of happiness, from that moment I just knew that Sekou was going to be the best father to our child. I was even more overjoyed at the fact that he was just excited about our newborn as I was.

We both were so excited, but scared, because we were about to be new parents (now that’s a BIG deal).

I remember that night we found out we were expecting we sat there talking for hours, saying life’s about to get really real. Saying that we couldn’t believe that we met each other 13 years ago (at the time), and we’re about to bring a new life into the world. I remember us saying that no matter what we were going to be the best parents to our new child, even if things ever got rocky.

Now here we are with a 1 yr old, being the best parents we know how, and still madly in love.

Alani you have brought so much more love and happiness to us and we are forever grateful for you, Thank you!

PS: Sekou has literally hundreds of songs, and this is my absolute favorite hands down. When we play this song in the car Alani smiles as if she knows this song is just for he (true story).
