That time we went to, the Brooklyn bridge park. I’m ready to go back and take baby girl on the Jane’s carousel.

Six more days till the big 1!

Today it was just baby girl and I, we stayed home all day played with toys read books, took a good nap, while mommy did laundry.

Sometimes when I spend the whole day with Alani alone, I often wonder how single parents do it by themselves.

When do you eat, shower, use the bathroom, clean up, fold laundry after you wash them, etc.

I forget to eat, every time I clean up the mess she made, she’s behind me tearing something else down. When I start folding clothes she’s in the draws throwing everything out.

I usually wait till she takes a nap to try and do everything, but then it’s a battle of whether I should take a nap with her or do the hundred and one thing on my list. I usually opt for taking a nap, because EVERY single time I try to be productive she’s up in 5 mins, alright maybe 30, but you get me.

Clearly I don’t have everything figured out, but I’ll get there.

And for all of you, who have it figured out, I really salute you, because it’s not easy, and that HAS to be a talent for you to be able to do all that and stay sane. Show me your ways.

Anyway look at babygirl today!
