These past 2 days Alani has been waking up, and going straight to her shoes trying to put them on, all by her little self.
I think it’s the cutest thing ever.
I know she feels like a pro walker now; walking with shoes on.
How cute is she with her pajamas and sneakers, you should’ve seen her yesterday with her cow boy boots on with her pajamas (the funniest thing ever), I suck for not getting a picture of that one.

PS. I still love my moby wrap, it serves a lot of purposes. Like cleaning up, doing laundry, shopping, yea just about anything, without having to worry about Alani putting everything in her mouth!

I know I said this many times before but I really LOVE being a mommy.
I love teaching someone else, taking care of someone else, and loving someone else. It makes life so much clearer and purposeful.
The feeling I feel, had I known this I would’ve had a baby a long time ago. Just Kidding, don’t rush it, it’s so beautiful when it happens at the right time, and everything falls into place.
Alani makes me want about 3 more though, ha!

This weekend Alani had a birthday party to go to, and I couldn’t make it. Daddy decided to take her by himself ( boy was mommy nervous).
i wasn’t nervous because I thought she wasn’t in good hands, Sekou’s really great at taking care of her, knowing when she signs that she’s sleepy, hungry, or wants her diaper changed.
So I knew that they’d be fine, but this was the first time he’s gone out alone with her, and the first time she’s been out without me, and the first time for everything is usually nerve wrecking right?! (Tell me I’m not the only one).
Anywho, I promised myself that I wouldn’t text or call, but I couldn’t help myself; “is she okay?, is she fussing?…”, nope she wasn’t so that made me feel at ease, and I let them have their Daddy daughter time.
Sekou you are an amazing dad, and I smell many daddy daughter dates in the future, and I’m looking forward to them!

Okay so Alani is like really really walking.
Taking more than 5 steps at a time.
She doesn’t even want anyone to hold her anymore.
While we went shopping the other day, she had fun walking on her own, pulling clothes off the racks, and shelves.
There were lots of apologies to the staff on my end.
She loved running away from us while we chased her.
By the time we got home she got her bath and was out for a whole 12hrs straight (Thanks for the shopping workout she had).
Alani is officially a handful.
Thanks to her uncle for chasing after her most of the time while my mom and I shopped.
