This past week we took a family trip down to Puerto Rico, YES we took the baby with us too.
Sekou and I agreed that we needed a getaway, away from home, and away from work. You know that feeling you get when everything starts feeling like a cycle, and you’re doing the same thing everyday, week after week, yea we both hate that feeling and needed something new, so Puerto Rico it was.
I think you all know by now that Sekou and I are obsessed with our daughter, and we don’t like being apart from her for too long, well thats why she came along for the trip.
Everyone I told that we were taking the baby said “Oh no that’s not a real vacation”, “Leave her with one of your parents”, “you won’t have fun” etc. but we didn’t care, and let me tell you it wasn’t so bad.
There were a few times when Alani started crying in public, and Sekou would give me that eye like (uh oh, this is why kids shouldn’t be on adult vacations). If I could do it again Alani would be tagging along, I hope Sekou feels the same.
We stayed at La Concha Resort and it was fabulous. I’d stay there every time I go back.
We all had a great, and relaxing time. We were on vacation already thinking about the next one.
Now I can start my work week refreshed, renewed, and ready to work.
Happy Monday!!!!
This photo is not edited at all. Do you see how blue that water is?!
Why are Sekou and I eating Salads on vacation The night before this picture I remember leaving the room a disaster before I went to sleep (Yes, I was that tired), and Sekou hates mess, it was so nice to wake up to a nice clean room. How cute are all of our sneakers lined up?
If anyone loves my kisses, it’s Alani!
Love it when he gets into daddy mode
I’m so loving this stage. She’s exploring and trying to talk so badly, pointing, and showing me things. I enjoy it, and just follow along.
Okay, now you know Sekou and I had to go to the museum. We went to the Puerto Rico Museum Of Contemporary art Also known as the MAC , and the Galleries were so colorful and beautiful. If you needed anything to inspire you for any creativity the paintings here will do just that. So sad we weren’t allowed to take pictures inside of the galleries, but if you ever visit Puerto Rico add this to the list of must see.
Until next time!!!!
