Lovedemitra’s 2nd Mommy & Me group meet up was a success.
First and foremost I want to thank the Brooklyn Children’s Museum for sponsoring admission for my Mommy group. It was a great experience.
The honest truth is, I’ve never been to the Brooklyn Children’s Museum. It’s quite embarrassing, being that I was born and raised in Brooklyn. However, it’s never too late, and I’m glad my daughter and I got to experience a first together, and this experience was a good one.
I love how the museum has different stations (exhibits), such as the totally tots, where the kids were able to play and explore their senses through water, sand, music and much more. Most of the kids were obsessed with the slide that’s in there. I loved the totally tots exhibit, if you stayed in that one exhibit all day , I think your child would have a blast. The other exhibit that I love is the World Brooklyn exhibit, with all the different local shops. It’s funny to see your child imitating you when you’re in the stores shopping. These kids are ALWAYS watching and just waiting for their chance to play “Mommy” it hilarious, but even cuter to see. They were grabbing their carts, and baskets, putting their items in them, and taking it to the cashier. It’s so amazing seeing how independent and careless they are. They usually start off by observing, and then walking around and exploring, all on their own.
I think all the kids enjoyed the grocery store the most. Even the older kids enjoyed it. Some were playing cashier, while others were playing customers. too bad I wasn’t able to capture that moment, because the mommies were busy having Mommy conversations. That’s one of the best parts during the mommy group, that I enjoy. Being able to have adult conversation with other mother’s like you, sharing stories, giving advice. I feel like I always leave learning something new, about new places to take LaLa, or new things you can do, such as make your own wipes (yes one of my friends makes her own wipes, maybe she can do a tutorial for you guys :)). I’m just so inspired by all the moms that were there, whether you’re a stay at home mom, bussing your ass all day cleaning, feeding, playing, teaching your child, and you can’t forget, dealing with the tantrums, and cries too; or whether you’re a single mom doing it by yourself, working full time, and still managing to be supermom when you get home. All of your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed here. Keep up the great work, if no one is rooting for you I am.
Thank you again to the Brooklyn Children’s Museum all the mommies and their children had a blast.
If you haven’t already, make sure you visit the Brooklyn Children’s Museum, your child would love it. They’re opened from Tuesday to Sunday, you can receive more information, and plan your visit here.
Funfact: Did you know that the Brooklyn Children’s Museum is the first Children’s Museum in America? Some are even saying it’s the 1st in the world.
Another reason why the Brooklyn Children’s Museum should be on the list of places to take your child.
Have you ever been to the Brooklyn Children’s Museum? if so how was you experience?
Thank you to all of you supermoms who made it to this meet up, Love you guys.

Check out pictures from our experience below
Maddie and LaLa. I love these two.
Naomi and I have been friends since we were 11, it soo amazing seeing our babies together, who would’ve known?!
She is such a happy baby, look at that face
The kids today and their music, and dances. I feel old saying that “the kids today” lol.
Love seeing them all so happy, smiling, and laughing.
I hate sand, but it seems like Alani loves it, and surprisingly enough we didn’t have sand trail in her clothes all day.
Sisi Loves her baby cousin. I love how she adores her, ever since Alani was born. She used to always draw pictures for her, when Alani would start crying when she was a baby Sisi would say, “did you change her diaper?” “did you give her, her bottle?” lol just gotta lover her
Hey little man. He was so independent, he knew exactly what he wanted to play with, and went straight for it.
Kassie and I went to high school together, I love that we can have playdates with our babies; they’re only a few months apart.
Not knowing that she’s a baby too, lol
I love the relationships I’ve gained through my relationship with Sekou. I literally love ALL of his cousins. Hey Bee!!
That’s all folks, Thanks for stopping by.
