“It takes a village to raise a child” that famous African proverb quote that we’ve all heard many times before.
I never really knew how true this proverb was/is until I had my daughter, and because my village as a child was more like a hamlet, I felt like it didn’t apply to me. When I was younger it was just my immediate family and I growing up. My parents did it all, how? I’m still wondering the same thing today.
Since the birth of my daughter my hamlet has now grown to a village, and let me tell you, my village is AMAZING. So many people are involved in LaLa’s life, and contribute something special. I cannot even take all the credit for how beautifully she’s growing, however, I never forget to give myself a pat on the back for being a damn good mom. [Read more…]
