Alani is always asking my brother to take her to play soccer. She knows that he plays soccer, and is always upset when he has a game and doesn’t take her. Every time she speaks to him she says uncle Nana when are you going to take me to play soccer. Thankfully we were able to set it up and she had a blast!!
Honestly, I’m not forcing her into any sport which ever she gravitates to I’ll be there front and center supporting her. whether that be swimming, soccer, whatever. My parents never forced us to play anything, but also made it clear that we weren’t going to be kids who sit on the couch all day doing nothing at all, and I’m definitely instilling that in my child from young. Plus, research shows that children who play sports has physical, emotional, social, educational and other benefits that last into adulthood; I’m just saying.
But, in all honesty this was supposed to be my workout session with my cousin, but turned into a workout/soccer family day, and you know what? I can’t be mad at that.
Check out the pictures below
Alright Uncle Nana, so what are we doing?
I’m going to kick the ball like this (I could really imagine the conversation going something like that lol)
Alani usually doesn’t like following directions, she likes doing her own thing (what 2yr old doesn’t) but this day she was all ears, and was also putting work in. I’m glad she’s enjoying this sport.
Blurry but hilarious.. they’re both celebrating the goal she just made lol
Obviously I couldn’t pick out of all of these pictures which ones to upload so why not all!!!
And then after all that running and sweating you have a family size bag of cheese doodles (I promise I didn’t let her eat the whole bag, plus why would my dad even buy this big bag of cheese doodles for.. Grandparents I tell you)
