February 27, 2018 | Leave a Comment

Hey Guysss, So I’ve been working hard on finding places to host our Mommy Meet Up’s, and I am happy to announce that we are heading the the Children’s Museum of Arts. On March 11th at 3pm I have free admission for 7 mothers and 7 children, we will be able to participate in their tour of their Secret Garden that is made entirely out of denim, which should be really cool. We will also be able to play we play dough, create a collages, get creative, socialize, and take pictures.

Also, if you and your child will be able to attend please email me at Lovedemitrablog@gmail.com, and let me know both you and your child’s name. Free admission will be first come first serve. I hope to see you there.

February 26, 2018 | 1 Comment

It’s been quite some time; Lala and I just wanted to stop by and say hello!!!

If you know Lala, then you know she ALWAYS has a story to tell. When she tells her story she needs your undivided attention, “Mommy are you listening”, “But you’re not saying anything”, yeah she needs feedback too lol. Oh, how I love this child of mine.

Also, one time for these cornrows I did ALL by myself!

And don’t forget my Jord Watch 100$ credit giveaway I need all my readers to participate here’s the link

Wood Watch For My Valentine

February 12, 2018 | Leave a Comment

If you’re anything like me, you probably never heard of JORD wooden watches. I’ve never even seen or heard of a watch made out of wood. Yes!! Wood. When JORD reached out to me to help me out during the Valentines Day Holiday, I was excited; One because I love LOVE obviously, and 2 after viewing everything on their website I love how unique their wood watches are. Like these watches are really made out of wood, and they’re nice too.

I knew from the moment that I read their email that i’d be gifting this watch to Sekou. If you know Sekou then you know he loves watches and always looking for a new one. How many watches can one have?! Your guess is as good as mine. Although he has so many I knew this wood watch would be good to add to his collection, because he doesn’t have any like this.

I could’ve surprised him, but because Sekou can be pretty picky I showed him the watches and had him pick the one he wanted, and he chose this beautiful and sophisticated, emerald-faced, dark sandalwood watch. There’s a few others he picked too, but this was his top choice of men’s watches JORD offers.

Okay so now that I have gifted Sekou his nice ol Wood watch, the selfish part of me is like I want one tooooo. I’m not really an accessories kind of girl. However I really want to be because I just love how accessories puts outfits together. I just always forget to put it on, but I’m going to make a conscious decision to wear accessories more often. So, with that being said, if anyone one wants to gift this soon to be birthday girl something, this purpleheart wooden watch would be perfect <3. Check out their full women’s collection!

Now you know I couldn’t just go on a rant about these nice wood watches without something for you guys. So with that being said I have teamed up with JORD to giveaway $100 JORD credit to one of you!!. So, fill out this form here for a chance to win.

A few things I’d like to note

  • All of their watches are made with 100% natural wood.
  • They have bands for apple watches if you want to spice up your apple watch.
  • They offer engraving so, feel free to add a special message.
  • This giveaway will run through March 4th 2018
  • This post is sponsored by JORD watches, however all opinions are of my own.                                                                                                 Luxury Wooden Watch

Kellogg’s Store (Union Square)

February 8, 2018 | Leave a Comment

I love finding little gems in NYC, there’s really so much out here to do. I love that Alani’s is always down to get out and have some fun. I’m usually a homebody, like I can stay home all weekend and not feel the need to be outside. Alani on the other hand loves being outside, she always ask “so what are we doing today”. I’m glad she’s like this, because it forces me to get outside for a little fun, and I never regret it.

This past weekend we visited the Kellogg’s store located in Union Square. If you know me you know that I absolutely LOVE cereal, like I can eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. During my pregnancy I ate so much cereal, and it’s to no surprise that Alani loves cereal too. So, to find out there’s a Cereal store , is amazing, it’s like it was made  just for us lol.

The Kellogg’s store is like a café, that has a cereal bar. They have a variety of cereals to choose from (Frosted Flakes, fruit loops, apple jacks etc), they also have different toppings for you to add to your cereal. You’re able to make your own creations, mixing cereals, and adding toppings. I just had frosted flakes with strawberries, and marshmallows, I probably wouldn’t try this at home, because I never add toppings, but this combination was bomb. And, as you all know independent little missy wanted to make her own combination, and she chose fruit loops, with strawberries, and marshmallows. We both enjoyed , and would definitely go back. They also have these hammock like swings which faces the window for you to just relax while having a nice view to look out to; Alani LOVED that. Kellogg’s really has a hit with this one, I wish I was the one who thought of it lol. Anyway you all should go visit if you like cereal. They also have one located in Times Square.

Chillin’, she also picked out this outfit.. not bad not bad. (Thanks Glamma for the outfit)

There she goes again insisting that she pours her own milk lol

Go Ahead Lala, Pick Your Own Clothes

February 6, 2018 | Leave a Comment

Lately Lala has been wanting to dress herself. This is going out clothes, and pajamas. I’m all for picking and choosing my battles, and I refuse to fight this one. Go on little girl, be free, be independent, be creative, lol. But, seriously, sometimes it’s just more easier for me to pick her outfits and hit the road, but she really just doesn’t want me to pick anything for her.  I know this is a stage that many go through, as I’ve heard similar stories before, I just didn’t think it was this soon.

The other day before going to the museum, Alani said she wanted to pick her outfit, so i said okay go ahead, and what does she pick out?! a dress, yes a dress in 20 something degree weather, but she insist!!! so, you know what i let her wear it, just doubled up on the tights. do you boo!

Someone please let me know where my baby went, and return her while you’re at it. Oh, Lala I love you for being you, for being independent, determined, inquisitive, bossy, unique, loving(hence all the kisses she gives me when we’re taking pictures lol) and so much more don’t you ever change.

PS: I really don’t know why i greased Lala’s face so much lmao, but it just reminds me of when I was a kid and hated when my mother greased my face like this. In the winter we grease to keep the wind away, and prevent dry sky. I prefer a greasy face than a dry one, but one day I’ll master the median #MelaninProblems
