Happy Mother’s Day to all the superwomen out there. When the going gets tough, when we’re exhsusted, and we’re just winging it; trying our best, just know that we were made for this beautiful life long journey, and the answers are already within us, so keep pushing. I love you ❤️

LaLa has taught me love on level i’ve never known. I know it sounds so cliche’ for parents to say this after they have kids, but seriously, Alani exudes so much love in her heart, her soul, and her energy. Although I would love for Sekou and I to take credit, a lot of it is just innate.
Recently, she had a school show, and she called all her family members (well immediate family members), everyday for like 2 weeks leading up to the show letting them know that they HAD to be there to support her, and she wasn’t joking, there were consequences if you didn’t come.
She wanted them there to share this experience with her. Looking back at the pictures we took (I didn’t post all), it just made me so happy and full, knowing how much her family means to her, and how much she valued their support. This is something she’s actually been teaching me over the yrs. One thing about LaLa; Family means everything to her. She calls them everyday to see how their day was, and to give them the run down of hers or just because she’s “just checking up on you”. She’s like a grown up in a little girls body. She’s the perfect big sister, and there’s a reason why she’s our first born, because her baby sister is going to be able to learn so much from her.
Thank you Alani for loving the way you do. Thanks to our village for loving us the way you do. I had to make a post about this, because it’s so rare to me to see families come together as one, as if the same blood runs through our veins, as if we’ve all known each other forever, and for a love to be so pure, and so genuine is life fulfilling to me. I hope this can inspire, and encourage all of you to love a little harder, and a little deeper. In the words of my mother in-law, Love Is Always Key.

We got to hang out with our friends this past weekend Maddie and Cruze. Quick story; Naomi (Maddie’s Mom, Monique (Cruze’s Mom), Myself, and Essie, have been friends since the SIXTH grade. It’s so amazing to see that we are all still very close, and now our children get to grow together, and now have playdates together. Ahhhh my heart is just sooo full!! Love you Girls!
