Our newest edition to our book family is a book written by one of my High School classmates; “To My Child You Are Perfect” This book is such a beautiful message to our children that they are perfect just the way they are; from your curls to your toes.

Hair Love; Every girl should be taught to love their hair. I work hard on self love in my home, to love yourself to love what you have, and to be grateful, always. Mom’s can and should continue to be firsthand role models for their daughters, but it means so much more when dads are teaching their daughters self love too. This is a great book for dads to read to their daughter, an ode to self love and confidence.
Last school year, Lala started reading. I bought her these Level D books , so she could continue on her reading journey during the summer. This bundle comes with 25 super easy books. If you’re trying to get your child comfortable with reading, this is a good bundle to buy. We have finished this bundle, and really surpassed this reading level. Now her grandmother signed her up for this kids book club, so we’re now reading those books; I’ll share more about that later.
What books are your kids reading on their own?
This year Lala said she wanted a slumber party for her birthday celebration, so slumber party it was. We all had such a great time, and Lala said “Mommy this was the best birthday ever”; mission accomplished.
