San Juan, PR pt 1.
This past week we took a family trip down to Puerto Rico, YES we took the baby with us too.
Sekou and I agreed that we needed a getaway, away from home, and away from work. You know that feeling you get when everything starts feeling like a cycle, and you’re doing the same thing everyday, week after week, yea we both hate that feeling and needed something new, so Puerto Rico it was.
I think you all know by now that Sekou and I are obsessed with our daughter, and we don’t like being apart from her for too long, well thats why she came along for the trip.
Everyone I told that we were taking the baby said “Oh no that’s not a real vacation”, “Leave her with one of your parents”, “you won’t have fun” etc. but we didn’t care, and let me tell you it wasn’t so bad.
There were a few times when Alani started crying in public, and Sekou would give me that eye like (uh oh, this is why kids shouldn’t be on adult vacations). If I could do it again Alani would be tagging along, I hope Sekou feels the same.
We stayed at La Concha Resort and it was fabulous. I’d stay there every time I go back.
We all had a great, and relaxing time. We were on vacation already thinking about the next one.
Now I can start my work week refreshed, renewed, and ready to work.
Happy Monday!!!!
Nana, the newest member of Belize national team
I couldn’t wait to share the news that my brother has been selected to play with Belize national team during the FIFA World Cup qualifications (how exciting is that).
Everyone who knows my family knows that both my siblings, and I, as well as my father played soccer, since we were young (back to AYSO days). My brother was the only one who continued and really enjoyed it.
When we were younger all he wanted to do was play soccer, he could survive anywhere as long as there was soccer there for him to play.
My brother has sacrficed so much to be in the position which he is in now. A few years ago he decided to take soccer seriously traveling all over from Ghana, to Turkey where he played professional soccer. He has missed almost every holiday, everyone’s birthday, lived in countries where he didn’t know ANYONE (now that’s dedication).
For the past week he has been in Belize gearing up for their game with Canada which takes place tomorrow in Canada at 9pm, it will be live streamed Here
You can get more information and the roster list for the Belize vs Canada game Here and Here
My family all wish we can be there to support, but we will definitely be live streaming.
Okay Belize we’re rooting for you. Next stop Mexico?!
Monday is that you?!
