Happy Birthday Asiya.
Thank you for loving Alani as if she was your very own baby sister, no matter how bratty she may be you, always treat her with nothing but love, and care. We love you
Have a great day, and we cannot wait to celebrate with you.
Love Demi, and LaLa
A couple of weeks ago we took LaLa to an art exhibit featuring Melanie Hope Greenberg’s Illustrations.
This art exhibit is children/family friendly. Also, there’s some storytime’s that are scheduled, so look out for that.
I met Melani last year at an event, where she was reading books to the kiddies, It’s so nice to see some of the illustrations from her books at the exhibit. I’m so happy that we were able to make.
All the illustrations were beautiful, so if you’re in the neighborhood be sure to stop by.

If you’re from Brooklyn and you haven’t been to Coney Island, make sure you go, it’s a must, and that goes for children too.
During our week long birthday celebration we made our way to Coney Island, though they’re aren’t many rides for children Alani’s age to enjoy they’re a few, and the few she went on she liked. furthermore, there’s the aquarium, the beach, the board walk, food etc. So there’s a lot you can do while you’re there.
We enjoyed a few rides, and the beach, wish I could’ve gotten my funnel cake, but there’s always next time.
Some pictures from our visit below
That “arm run” is too funny!!!
Baby girl hates the carousel still, so we had to settle for a booth… again!
If you know LaLa, then you know she loves cars, and going “beep beep”!!!
Thanks for stopping by have a great week.
As you all know, last week was Alani’s birthday.
We literally celebrated all last week, yes! 2 is such a huge milestone so a celebration all week is necessary lol. But, honestly she really enjoyed it all.
We did museums, coney Island, art gallery, etc, which I’ll save for another post.
We had a mommy & daughter date, and went to an art studio called Private Picassos (Future Mommy Meet up?!?!). I’ve been looking for an art studio for Alani to go to, perhaps take some classes in the future. I wanted to see if she’d like it, and she really had a blast.
We didn’t participate in their art class, but we did a drop in, and was able to paint, read books, color, all for 15$, and allowed to stay as long as we liked.
The place is so beautiful, and great for children to get creative, as you can see in the pictures below.

It’s about to start getting cold out here in NYC, so it’s the perfect indoor place to bring the kiddies. [Read more…]
