New Years Eve, was amazing this year.

Every year i’m usually in the bed being a grandma, but this year my brother and I decided to have a nice little gathering.

It was so amazing bringing in the New Year with people I truly love, and people I look forward to spending the New Year with.

Happy New Year All!

To all my working parents!

Do you remember that time you had to return back to work, and leave your little one?

I don’t know about you, but for me it was devastating, I remember crying, and not wanting to leave.

I remember calling every hour like what is she doing now, oh she’s still asleep? (yes, I’m really that crazy mom, I still do that till this day, don’t judge me)

For parents who aren’t stay at home moms (shout out to you stay at home moms, your work never goes unnoticed over here), you want a caregiver whose going to care for your child just as much as you will, someone who is caring, has patience, experience, and someone who enjoys watching kids.

I went back to work when Alani was just 2 and a half months, that’s pretty young, but sometimes things have to get done, and money has to be made, but it’s not easy.

Leaving a child so young is hard for most, you want to be at ease while you’re at work, knowing your child is in the best hands ever. My mom had retired during my pregnancy so she was now helping me with my daughter. However, It doesn’t always work out this way, as many friends of mine have issues finding babysitters, for their child. [Read more…]

Yesterday we took the little one to watch a puppet show in Central Park at The Swedish Cottage, called the ‘The Three Bears Holiday Bash’. It was the cutest little show ever.

They taught the kids forgiveness, about Kwanzaa, and how Christmas is more than receiving gifts. Of course Alani didn’t understand all the lessons the show taught, but she really enjoyed all the Christmas carols they sung, the lights, and the looking that the 3 bears moving around the stage.

Tickets are currently sold out, but they will be having a new show The Little Red Riding hood coming in February.
