A day at the Bronx Zoo!
This weekend we took a family trip to the Bronx Zoo right before summer ends.
Alani has been to the aquarium which you can see here , now we had to make it to the zoo. Everyone knows the Bronx zoo is the best one out here in NYC, it’s really huge too, so remember to wear your walking shoes if you plan to visit.
Alani seemed to have enjoyed herself. My nephews came along too of course and they had a ball.
Be sure to add Bronx zoo to your list of places to visit with the littles.

Alani’s 1st Birthday at the Brooklyn Crab
Alani’s actual birthday was the day after her big party, so we decided to celebrate doing something small especially since we were all tired from the day before.
We ended up grabbing a bite at the Brooklyn Crab restaurant.
This was our first time here, and if you know Sekou and I you know we love our salmon and shrimp, so it’s inevitable for Alani to inherit some type of seafood favorite.
I had shrimp of course, and Sekou had salmon. My best friend Ariel came to enjoy the night as well, she had oysters, and salmon.
I can’t get pass the slimey feel of osysters so i didn’t try it, but she said it was good, and I will take her word for it.
I have nothing but good things to say about this restaurant. I love the whole outdoor scenery, and the food was great too.
They also have a bar and arcade downstairs. We didn’t get to enjoy the arcade because Alani started getting tired. We did try putting her on the little kids ride, but it wasn’t working, so Brooklyn Crab you owe Alani a free ride, ha.
We will definitely be visiting again, before it gets cold out.

Alani’s Birthday Party Pt.1
My sister in-Law is my event planner partner, and for the past few months we got our pens and pads and planned every single detail of Alani’s Princess birthday party.
It’s was so much fun planning a party, even staying up late the night before putting party bags, games, and centerpieces together. It was all worth it in the end.
I just want to thank every single person that helped make this day possible, it’s too many people to name.
It’s safe to say everyone had a great time, here are pictures to prove it.
