Barbie Dream House Pop Up Shop

March 13, 2019 | Leave a Comment

This past weekend LaLa and I went to the one day Barbie Dream House Pop Up Shop here in NYC for Barbie’s 60th anniversary. Once I seen that it was only in town for the day I knew we had to get up early and go. So glad we made it. I didn’t tell Alani where we were going until we got there, and she was soooooo happy. The pop up shop was genius, just imagine walking through a real life dream house like the ones your kids have at home that they play with. The dream house had everything, a kitchen, living space, bedroom, a ball pit, a closet with tons of cool clothes, and the shoessss, my favorite part all the nice shoes that your kids barbie’s have. A reallyyy dope experience to say the least.

Vote LaLa for President!!!

How dope is this closet

Clearly I didn’t know which picture to choose

Mommy: Alani you stand over there and i’ll stand over here.

Alani: Mommy how about you sit in the middle, and I’ll stand behind you.

Mommy: Okay cool

Lol she’s the creative director of my life!!

Frida Kahlo; Brooklyn Museum

February 19, 2019 | Leave a Comment

The other day as our pre valentines day outing we went to see the Frida Kahlo; Appearances Can Be Deceiving at the Brooklyn Museum.

Quick story- Alani has been so excited about Valentines Day, she requested that she have a family date with her family on Valentines Day . We decided to celebrate the day before, and on the day of enjoyed desert with Sekou’s parents and siblings. I think her valentines day was complete. Hope you all enjoyed love day on the 14th and everyday.

Well back to our visit to the museum. It was really nice to see a exhibit fully dedicated to Frida Kahlo. Her bravery, the fact that she was so unique, and didn’t care to conform to societies norm is amazing. We can all learn a thing or two from her. If you all get a chance you should go visit, most of the weekend tickets are already sold out.

I Live For This Authentic Smile of Happiness a Love

Alani’s face in this picture is hilarious

Although this picture came out so dark, look how happy LaLa is, holding her little sister. She’s so excited about being a big sister, everyday she tells all the plans she has for little sister, such as changing diapers, feedings, playtime, story time, and much more. Lets pray she keeps this same energy when baby girl is here.

Our Annual Family Trip; Whitney Museum

January 17, 2019 | Leave a Comment

Happy New Year my Lovliessss!!!. Hope the New Year is starting off great for you. Hope the year is filled with love, motivation, great health, wealth, great partnerships, and more.

It seems as if every year our first family outing is usually to the Whitney Museum; not on purpose either. It’s really our family’s favorite. I have to say I’m so proud at how much Alani has matured. She’s like so into all into it saying how “impressed” she is, dissecting the paintings, oh I love this kid. Check out some pictures we took below. Also, if you haven’t been to the Whitney, go now while they have the Andy Warhol exhibit, super super dope!!!

Cahal Pech Mayan Ruins; Belize

July 17, 2018 | Leave a Comment

During our trip to Belize, we visited the Mayan Ruins, Cahal Pech to be exact located in the Cayo district.

To be honest I haven’t always known of Mayan Ruins. A few years ago I read one of my favorite books Celestine Prophecy , and Redfield spoke about being on top of one of the temples while at the ruins, and it being one of the highest points where your connected to God, I want to find the exact quote, because it was such a good passage, and it was so inspiring; I want to share it with you all. Since reading that book I had it on my vision board to visit one of the many Mayan Ruins, and come to find out my mothers country has many of them, so we took the opportunity and visited Cahal Pech AKA the place of the ticks while in Belize.

This really was an amazing experience to see first hand, glad we were able to do this as a family! Check out some of our pictures below.

The walk up

LOL, so Alani was mad because initially we didn’t take her picture while walking up this temple, so we had to go back, climb back up and take her picture, this child of mine.
