Love is Love

March 22, 2021 | 2 Comments

WOW!! This birthday was one for the books. I cannot even describe it into words. I’ve literally been trying to gather my thoughts, and my words, but sometimes the dictionary just doesn’t have words to match the internal feelings. However, I can see it feels so right, it feels so perfect.

I AM MARRYING MY CHILDHOOD SWEETHEART Y’ALL. It’s been a long time coming but the timing is so perfect, perfect for us. I knew this day would come, but for some reason I still have butterflies from the moment he asked for my hand in marriage. So grateful and thankful for the continued blessings; the blessing of love, and togetherness. I pray that we continue to build a bond so strong, of respect, love, communication, laughter, fun, and all things love. Thankful that we can share these moments of love with our daughters first hand, to show them what unity looks like, and means.

I’m just going to leave this right here, and bask in it all. Here’s to Eternal Love!!!!

“Just Ask”

September 24, 2020 | Leave a Comment

OMG, I love this book so much. If you ever wanted to teach your child inclusiveness, “Just Ask” is the book for your child. It lets children know that there are many different kinds of people in the world, but we can all come together, and incorporate what we’re good at. It also lets children know that, although we’re different it’s good to ask questions, to get to know someone better. This book is definitely on the top of my list. If you don’t have it yet please purchase. Lets teach our little ones to be understanding, and great listeners.

Aleise 1st Birthday

June 19, 2020 | 2 Comments

With everything that’s going on, the only thing holding me together is love; love from my family, love from books, creatives, just anything that fills my heart. I don’t know about you all, but everything that’s on the news, and social media is too much for me and my heart.

It so scary raising children during a time like this, but I am so hopeful that we’re at the start of making the changes to better our children’s future, especially our black children.

I hope these pictures from Aleise’s 1st birthday can bring a little more shine to your day:)

Happy Juneteenth!!!!!!!

My Support Team!!

I Need Some Breeze

April 6, 2020 | Leave a Comment

As a family who goes out often, staying indoors could be a lot, especially for an active 5 year old. I remember when I was on maternity leave in the summer, I took Alani and the baby to the park literally everyyy single days, the only time we were home was when it would rain. Alani is a hot foot, so she’s never okay with not doing anything it’s always “so, what are we doing today?! she has to be out and about all the time

Yesterday we went out for a nice family walk, so everyonewas able to get some breeze, and was happy about it, Are you all getting out for fresh air, and vitamin D?

I cannot wait to see you all when all of tis is over, can’t wait for the mommy meet ups to come, I miss you all.

-Love Demitra

I pray this love, and this bond lasts a lifetime

Alani dressed herself, fancy little girl she is

Hope this week is a better week than the last for all of yoy.
