Here are the last of our pictures from our trip to San Juan.
Alani’s favorite foods
I really love this stage as I said before. Alani has her own personality, her likes and dislikes. She would shake her head no if you attempt to give her something she doesn’t like.
Here are her top favorite foods/snacks.
She loves her toasted bread in the morning, and her string cheese. I’m actually not a fan of string cheese.
Her puffs, she’s obsessed with them, she wants to eat them morning noon and night. She drops more on the floor than she actually eats.
She loves those Ella kitchen granola bars, they’re actually good.
And her freshly squeezed juice, her favorite is watermelon juice, and thats my favorite to make too, because a little piece of watermelon goes a long way, unlike apples you need about 10 of them to make a decent size amount of juice.
The little white and green tray is her popsicles. When I make her juice I pour some in the tray to make her popsicles, this girl can eat all of them in an hr. She even knows that they’re in the freezer, so she would raise her hands for you to pick her up then point her way to the kitchen, then the freezer, she’ll even open the freezer if you let her get that close. Babies these days I tell you.
Another one of her favorites that’s not pictured is her baby yogurt.
If you have kids you should try some of these.
What are somethings your kids are eating?

Flatbush Frolic
This weekend we went to the Flatbush Frolic’s 40th Annual street fair.
It was so much fun, they had games, LOTS of delicious food, and rides. Alani and I got on one of the rides, she seemed indifferent about it, but I thought it was cute so we gave it a try.
And of course I had my nephews in tow, plus they had a ball. I think this is about to be a family tradition.
here are some pictures from our time at the fair.
San Juan, PR pt 1.
This past week we took a family trip down to Puerto Rico, YES we took the baby with us too.
Sekou and I agreed that we needed a getaway, away from home, and away from work. You know that feeling you get when everything starts feeling like a cycle, and you’re doing the same thing everyday, week after week, yea we both hate that feeling and needed something new, so Puerto Rico it was.
I think you all know by now that Sekou and I are obsessed with our daughter, and we don’t like being apart from her for too long, well thats why she came along for the trip.
Everyone I told that we were taking the baby said “Oh no that’s not a real vacation”, “Leave her with one of your parents”, “you won’t have fun” etc. but we didn’t care, and let me tell you it wasn’t so bad.
There were a few times when Alani started crying in public, and Sekou would give me that eye like (uh oh, this is why kids shouldn’t be on adult vacations). If I could do it again Alani would be tagging along, I hope Sekou feels the same.
We stayed at La Concha Resort and it was fabulous. I’d stay there every time I go back.
We all had a great, and relaxing time. We were on vacation already thinking about the next one.
Now I can start my work week refreshed, renewed, and ready to work.
Happy Monday!!!!
