Belize Zoo

While in Belize we visited the Belize Zoo. I’ve been to Belize when a couple of times when I was a kid. I spent my entire summer there when I was about 10. I have to say coming back as an adult has been my best experience yet. My family really took care of us, and made this trip one to remember, not only for me but for Sekou and Lala, So thank you Mams, and Jose!!!

Let’s talk about the signs that they had all around the zoo; they were HILARIOUS. One of them said them said “If you value your paws keep them out of the exhibit” LOL

Cahal Pech Mayan Ruins; Belize

During our trip to Belize, we visited the Mayan Ruins, Cahal Pech to be exact located in the Cayo district.

To be honest I haven’t always known of Mayan Ruins. A few years ago I read one of my favorite books Celestine Prophecy , and Redfield spoke about being on top of one of the temples while at the ruins, and it being one of the highest points where your connected to God, I want to find the exact quote, because it was such a good passage, and it was so inspiring; I want to share it with you all. Since reading that book I had it on my vision board to visit one of the many Mayan Ruins, and come to find out my mothers country has many of them, so we took the opportunity and visited Cahal Pech AKA the place of the ticks while in Belize.

This really was an amazing experience to see first hand, glad we were able to do this as a family! Check out some of our pictures below.

LOL, so Alani was mad because initially we didn’t take her picture while walking up this temple, so we had to go back, climb back up and take her picture, this child of mine.

 

LoveDemitra’s Mommy Meet Up; Belize Edition

The Belize posts has begun. Disclaimer; for the next few posts, I will be posting pictures from our trip to Belize last week. We had such an amazing time, and we took tons of pictures, so if you’re up for the ride just come back and check my page during the rest of the week.

We started our trip off with a mommy meet up at the Leo Bradley Library. We enjoyed story time, and painting our very own canvases. This Mommy Meet up was such a success, and one of my biggest turnouts. To be totally honest I was a little nervous about this meet up in the beginning, the unknown is always a little nerve-wracking for me, plus my package with all of my goodies was somehow lost in transit somewhere, so it really had me second guessing myself, and had to buy all the supplies we used the day before we left for Belize, actually the night before; thanks to my big brother for helping a sister out. Looking back now, everything turned out perfect, just as it should be, so always trust the process, even when theres curve balls thrown your way, figure it out!!

I also want to give a special thank you to the entire Leo Bradley family. Thank you all for hosting LoveDemitra’s Mommy Meet Up, you all were so pleasant, and so helpful, I can’t wait until we can do this again; BIGGER and BETTER.

July Birthday’s

We’ve been on vacation for the past week, and we missed some special birthdays.

Every give a big Happy Birthday shout out to both of my nephews Jeremiah and Jordan, my big sister Tricia, and my Dad.

Mommy Meet Up in Belize City

My family and I are heading to Belize next week. While we’re there, we’ll be hosting our very 1st Mommy Meet Up in Belize. If you or any one you know have children between the ages of  2-6 , meet us at the Leo Bradley Library located in the heart of Belize City, on July 7th at 11am for some arts and crafts fun.
